“The Batman” is the Perfect Movie Title
“The Batman” is Official Title. (For Now At Least)
It might change according to Affleck, but I really hope it doesn’t. People don’t call Batman “The Batman!” nearly as often enough as they should. It’s got a nice ring to it, while not being as overtly poetic as “The Dark Knight.”
Affleck has announced something more concrete with his choice of a title compared to the other one. The actor, writer, and director of the upcoming DC solo film spoke to the Associated Press during his promotion of another film he’s starring in, The Accountant.
“The movie I think is going to be called ‘The Batman’. At least that’s what we’re going with right now. I might change it… That’s about all I got right now. We’re working on the script, the script is going well, I’m really excited about it.”
We can give Affleck credit, the title itself sounds very definitive, much like his portrayal has been accounted for by many fans. Even if it changes or has some mixed reaction from fans, we at least have something official to call it now.
Needless to say, the chances of Dark Claw leaping from page to screen are highly unlikely.
